Aperio Nuclear Algorithm – Count and Quantify Stained Nuclei

The Aperio Nuclear Algorithm measures area and intensity of nuclear staining with a target chromogen in individual cells. Nuclei are easily detected by counterstain, and users can determine which nuclei to include in analysis based on size, shape and staining. Non-specific staining in the cytoplasm or membrane are disregarded, giving you an accurate view of nuclear staining.

See your staining accurately
Non-specific staining can provide a misleading picture of your nuclear biomarker expression. The Aperio Nuclear Algorithm automatically detects and corrects for staining bleed into the cytoplasm, and uses deconvolution to separate nuclear stain from counterstain, giving you a more accurate representation of true nuclear staining intensity.
Powerful batch processing
Set up your analysis to run and walk away! With a few clicks, whole batches of digital images can be analyzed by your tuned algorithm, leaving you free to work on other tasks while data is generated.
Intuitive algorithm set-up workflow
The Aperio Nuclear Algorithm features a user-friendly, stepwise tuning workflow, making it easy to set up your analysis settings. Move through the algorithm tuning process in sequence, selecting stains, identifying nuclei of interest, and defining scoring criteria.
Detailed outputs
Comprehensive results are output by the Aperio Nuclear Algorithm, which are stored in your Aperio eSlide Manager or Aperio Image Analysis Workstation database. Results plots can be generated, and data can be easily extracted for statistical analysis.
